Guided Reading:
Teacher reads the Prose with proper
stress, pause, and intonation. Students listen silently at the first time.
Second time they repeat after teacher. They read in small groups.
The Teacher’s activity:
Before explaining this prose, the
teacher also explains the new words with the help of chart. The teacher explains
the prose in simple words through video.
The Student’s activity:
Volunteer
students to briefly explain the content explained by the teacher in front of
other students.

• Savita Singh's father transferred to Patna. She took her bicycle
with her brother on the first Sunday and bet on a bicycle ride.
• The winners decided it was chocolate. Both were speeding
bicycles. My bicycle collided with a cow in the middle of the road while riding
fast. The cow started to run faster.
• There were two horses standing nearby. There were also officers
guarding the Governor. The cow pushing me down the side of the ditch. It also
fell in the ditch.
• I woke up in pain and started panting. The horses were circling
like crazy. There a poor man fell into the ditch by the side of the cow.
• Then the cow shouted, thinking that the cow was attacking one
another. The man got up from the ditch and sat on the roadside.
• My brother asked, "You have nothing." The guards were
there to pacify the horse. My brother and I decided that we would go fast.
• It turned out to be an unhappy Sunday for us.
Reinforcement:
Work in groups. Discuss and have a debate on life in bustling cities
and life in calm towns.

the book back exercises… read and understand, vocabulary, listening and
writing.
Follow up
work:
Imagine you are the author of the story and say a different ending
to the story.
